My Story
My love affair with leaps of faith began in 1999. I can still remember the feelings of exhilaration, adventure and trust sizzling inside. After a period of heavy inner turmoil and intense deliberation, I had landed on a clear decision to resign. I was leaving my chosen field of social work to discover my most authentic path for meaningful service. While I had no idea where my journey was going, I knew I was headed in the right direction.
Several jobs and years later, I was still seeking and yearning. And then life delivered a massive shock and loss. My dad died suddenly and much too young. I understood on a whole new level that life is short. I know it sounds cliché, and it is absolutely true. My grief taught me to not take one minute for granted. Losing my dad gifted me with the conviction, sense of urgency and additional resources to move forward with creating my dreams. I immediately felt compelled to call others forth in living their most fulfilling lives NOW. No more postponing. No more waiting for that elusive “perfect time.” The time is now.
It wasn’t long before my puzzle pieces started fitting together. I was being guided by deeper clarity and gratitude. My passion for becoming a coach had been ignited, and I was determined to embrace the adventure of growing my own business. While I knew that walking the path of the entrepreneur was my biggest leap yet, I couldn’t wait to get started. I wanted to play big and bold and help others to do the same. I was on a mission.
Fast forward to today. My journey has been filled with both spectacular fumbling and success. And I know this will continue. I have learned that the road to radical growth and truly making a difference makes room for all of that and more. It is now my honor and joy to help aspiring entrepreneurs cultivate the clarity, confidence and courage they need to move forward with their visions and build a solid foundation for a thriving business and juicy life.
Bottom line, I want you to know deep in your soul what is truly possible for you and your life. I want you to experience the passion and freedom that comes with consciously designing your best life and business. I have a deep understanding of the challenges involved with dramatically stretching into your big vision, fully stepping into the unknown and taking risks in service of your dream. Most importantly, I am fiercely committed to shattering limiting beliefs and transforming fear into fuel for growth. I will not let you forget how magnificent and powerful you really are, or the goodness you hold within that our world needs. You have a special contribution to make. - Trained and certified through the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), one of the oldest and most respected coach training organizations in the world. Completed the core curriculum in March 2007 and received my certification in February 2009.
- The days I spent immersed in the coach training process were extraordinary and life-altering. I was savoring the joy of finding my true home and stepping into a whole new world, relishing the deeper claiming of my dream. I can still recall the intense feeling of gratitude stirring within me….and it continues to grow each and every day as I continue on my path.
- Fully committing to coaching, both as a client and a professional coach, has had an indescribable impact on my life. I have become crystal clear about my core values and my determination to honor them as fully as possible by living my life authentically. In service of sharing with you a bit more of who I am, I would like to share some of my values. - I was born and raised in Ohio. After graduating from college and spending a few more years in the Midwest, my partner, Eric, and I embarked on a grand adventure and headed West in 2001. We had previously visited Colorado and felt called to return. We chose Denver and enjoyed living there for 3 ½ years before embracing another spirit driven move to the lovely mountain town of Durango in 2004.
- Graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1995 with a Bachelor of Social Work degree. My service as a social worker was in the field of chemical dependency.
